Doncaster Rovers Defeated

Steve Housham completed his pre season unbeaten after his Gainsborough Trinity side thrashed their leauge opposition Doncaster Rovers 4-0, Trialist Richard Paquett and Paul Connor were both on target during the first half, and a double from substitute Shane Clarke gifted Trinity the win. 

Gainsborough Trinity opened the scoring after 3 minutes, Dominic Roma found Ex Lincoln City striker Richard Pasquett unmarked inside the 6 yard area who headed a bullet past the goalkeeper to gift Trinity the lead. 

The second Trinity goal came on 17 minutes, Paul Connor was surprised himself when Ryan Williams ball in eluded everyone directly in front of goal and fell nicely to Connor, who poked the ball into the bottom left hand corner. 

Trinity found themselves 3-0 up after the break, Jamie Yates and Ryan Williams connecting well down the right hand side, allowed Yates to produce a low cross to Ex Boston United midfielder Shane Clarke, who made no mistake from 5 yards out. 

Goalscorer and substitute Shane Clarke then produced a spell of magic moments later, cutting in from the left 30 yards out and smashed a screamer which flew past the Rovers goalkeeper into the top right hand corner of the net.
