Trinity Player Development Academy

Exciting news about Gainsborough Trinity’s own Player Development Academy broke this afternoon (Thursday 16th March) and here are some details, as sessions start as soon as next week!

Starting Next Tuesday

Gainsborough Trinity are delighted to announce that starting next Tuesday, the Gainsborough Trinity Foundation will be launching our Player Development Academy (PDA). Featuring as part of our new football development programme, in association with the Gainsborough Trinity Foundation, the primary objective of the PDA is to develop young players aged 5-11 (Foundation Stage) and 12-16 years forming the Youth Development Phase. These advanced coaching sessions are delivered by our highly-qualified/experienced coaches (Level 2 and UEFA B) and will focus on all 4 corners of the FA’s 4 Corner Model, with the end goal, to support long-term player development.

Centered around the child, the four corners include:

Physical
Psychological & Social

Training will take place during term time (evening) with matches being played against a range of different Professional clubs, Player Development Centres & Academies. The PDA does not intend to stop players from playing for their local clubs but instead is an additional opportunity to gain additional contact time with experienced coaches and better players to help them improve as footballers.
