A vocal, commanding goalkeeper, Joe grew in confidence at the back end of the season & will be looking to kick on again next season with regular first team football. Having managed to stave off interest from clubs higher up the pyramid, the Trinity management duo of Liam King & Ross Hannah were delighted to finally land their man, with Kingy absolutely thrilled: "I'm delighted that Joe has decided to stay with us next season. It just shows that he really enjoyed his time with us at the back end of last season. It’s great news for the club."

On penning his deal, that will keep him at the club in to 2020, the shot-stopper revealed, "I really enjoyed my time here last season. I was made to feel welcome. I had a couple of other offers higher up but this is a massive year for me and I knew I loved my time at Gainsborough so I wanted to stay and get promoted , I always knew I wanted to be here and if we could do a deal, I was more than happy to stay."

"Gainsborough is a good club and we want to be right up there challenging next season. I'm looking forward to being part of it!"

Welcome back Joe!
