An experienced goalkeeper, with over two hundred appearances across Step 2 & 3 with Leamington & Curzon Ashton, the Rotherham based goalkeeper joined the Holy Blues in the Summer of 2026, following his Curzon departure. David Robson continues his spell at Gainsborough Trinity after the injury to Callum Hawkins in pre-season. A popular man between the sticks, he won multiple Player of the Season awards for his performances during the 2025/26 season. A campaign where he was ever present, playing 49 times, keeping an impressive fifteen clean sheets. Read Bio

Full back, Aaron Simpson started his career with Maidstone United, before catching the eye at Wolverhampton Wanderers. He joined the Holy Blues from Salisbury City, having helped them to promotion from Step 3. He relocated to Barnsley & impressed during a pre-season trial to earn himself a deal at Gainsborough. Harvey Sutcliffe

Joined Gainsborough towards the back end of the 2025/26 season, making a handful of appearances. An energetic full back or wing back, who looks to get up and down the flank, linking defence and attack. Harvey started his career at Premier Division Leeds United. Has also appeared for Spennymoor Town, Halifax & Cleethorpes Town. Read Bio

A versatile left-sided defender, who started his youth career with his hometown club, Leeds United. He joined Doncaster Rovers, before impressing Swansea City enough to pay a fee for his services. A loan to Welsh Premier League, with Barry Town preceded spells at Bradford Park Avenue, Spalding United and Bourne Town. Read Bio

Utility

Versatile Ashton, arrived midway through the 2025/26 campaign, capable of doing a job for the team anywhere on the pitch. Came through the youth ranks at Matlock, before being spotted by Sheffield United and signing for their academy. Offler has further non-league experience at the likes of Rushall Olympic, Guiseley and Mickleover from where he was signed. Read Bio

A young, yet experienced central defender, Harrison Beeden is in his second season with the Holy Blues. Picked up from Lancaster City, with whom he had a strong season, off the back of another positive campaign with Whitby Town. Another, no nonsense defender, he cut his teeth at Brighouse. Read Bio

A mid 2025/26 season arrival. Initially on loan from then Enterprise National League North side Alfreton Town. The Blues moved swifty to turn the deal into a permanent one, paying an undisclosed fee for the centre back, who hails from the North East. Formerly on the books of Hull City, Leckie is a strong, no nonsense defender. Read Bio

A former York City scholar, Jacob links up with the Holy Blues for his third season. Again looking to gain more minutes as he continues his development. A trusty, reliable member of the squad, who has slotted into several different positions during last season. Spent time out on loan at Club Thorne Colleries. Read Bio

Now entering his fourth season with the Holy Blues, having initially signed for Gainsborough on loan from Scarborough Athletic, prior to making the move permanent. The vastly experienced left-footed defender has played well over a hundred games for Trinity. Capable of chipping in with important goals, Jacko has also turned out for Leek and Ossett Town. Vice Captain, Lewis Butroid represents his home town club with pride. Having come through the ranks at Scunthorpe United, he broke into the first team squad, before gaining value experience on loan at Spennymoor and Hereford United. Linking up with the Holy Blues, upon his Scunthorpe release, Butty has become a regular contributor, with both goals and assists. Read Bio

Now in his third season with the Holy Blues. Racked up over a hundred appearances with Trinity in his first two seasons, making over fifty appearances in consecutive campaigns. A former Barnsley academy graduate, Helliwell was plucked from Step 6, quickly establishing himself in Russ Wilcos’s Step 3 side. Read Bio

Club Captain, Bobby Johnson is now in his fourth campaign with the Holy Blues, having signed for Gainsborough under the stewardship of Neal Bishop. Selected by his peers as captain at the start of the 2025/26 he has continued that role into the new campaign, sharing duties with Lewis Butroid. Read Bio

A vastly experienced midfielder, who joined the Holy Blues following the expiration of his contract at Macclesfield. Spent the majority of 2025/26 on loan at Peterborough Sports, at Step 2. Worksop based, Whitehouse will add nous and experience to the heart of the Trinity midfield. Read Bio

One of the longest serving players currently at the club, Sheffield Wednesday academy graduate, Fraser Preston has been a virtual ever-present under Trinity boss, Russ Wilcox. Comfortable on the ball, possessing good upper body strength, he has the ability to unlock opposition defences. Read Bio

A versatile footballer, equally comfortable at full back, or in midfield, George has racked up the most appearances in the current squad, having made the central midfield spot his own since Christmas, last season. 2026/27 represents the seventh season George has represented the Holy Blues. Exciting attacker Javelle Clarke initially signed for the Holy Blues in the summer of 2023, under former boss, Neal Bishop. Starting his career in the Sheffield United Academy, before playing regular football for Brighouse, from where he was signed. Javelle overcame a serious injury in December 2023. Read Bio

A new signing in Summer 2026, young forward, Connor Brown, steps up from Lincolnshire neighbours Lincoln United, from where he excelled under former Trinity boss Dave Frecklington. Tracked by Russ Wilcox throughout last season, Brown spent time in the Lincoln City and Nottingham Forest youth teams. Read Bio

Initially joining on loan from Kings Lynn Town, Theo signed permanently for the Holy Blues following his release from the Linnetts in the Summer of 2026. An unpolished diamond, who Russ Wilcox has worked with previously, at Farsley Celtic, Wilcox believes that with a full pre-season, Theo will fly in 2026/27. Read Bio
