Led by Club Legend Darryn Stamp, who steps up from his position as Assistant Manager, to take the reigns for Saturday's game, the group are set to be in good hands for what promises to be a challenging encounter. In the Highwaymen's first four fixtures at home so far this season they have scored three, on three occasions. And four in the final one of the four, against Matlock, Workington and Marske, as well as the aforementioned victory over Radcliffe in the cup.

"We trained as normal last night and will be hoping for a reaction from Tuesday’s disappointment. We know that Morpeth are in a great run of form at home but we know that on our day we can give anybody a game in this league. As always, I’ll be asking the lads to give everything they can and hope that we can also produce the quality we are capable of."

Now, with the players firmly focused on the game against Morpeth, longest serving player, George Hornshaw reassures that the focus is fully on picking up three crucial points, "We will go to Morpeth and treat it like we do with every game. We will go there wanting to win and give everything for the club."

"Obviously, the news about Bish leaving was a massive shock to us all and us lads thank him for everything he’s done for us since being Manager, now everyone’s full focus is on Saturday and picking up the three points."

With the season still in its' infancy, a couple of wins on the trot can quickly change the landscape of the league table and have everyone feeling different about the task in hand. Six points quickly propelling the Blues into mid-table and on the coat tails of the Play-Off spots. There is plenty of time left in the season for literally anything to happen - so rally round, get behind the team. Find your singing voices, your supportive voices. And as the 12th man, do everything you can to back the Blues!
