Warnock To Woo Trinity Faithful Twice More

Gainsborough Trinity are delighted to welcome legendary, former manager, Neil Warnock, back to Lincolnshire at the beginning of June. In a fantastic double header to help the Holy Blues celebrate our 150 year anniversary, we are delighted to announce that Warnock will be bringing his "Are you with me?" show to the county. First, Warnock will tread the boards at The Baths Hall, Scunthorpe, talking you through his remarkable career, in front of a live audience for the first time. And then pacing the Northolme touchline, in the shadows of The Ping Stand, as he takes to the dugout for one last game.

Having managed a record number of games, in a managerial career that saw him lead sixteen clubs, gaining eight promotions, from Non-League to the Premier League, it was with Gainsborough Trinity where Warnock cut his managerial teeth as a player boss back in the 1980/81 season. Warnock is set to give his insight in a no holds barred show, delivered in Neil’s unique and imitable style with stories that will make you laugh, cry, gasp, and laugh again. Hear about Neil’s early career as a player in the lower leagues, making over 300 appearances, and what then inspired and drove him on to succeed and reach the highest level of management. Watch footage with Neil of some of the highlights and lowlights of his career, on the large screen then hear his thoughts in a thrilling three hour show!

Gainsborough Trinity is where it all began in management for Neil, 42 years ago. And who knew that this was to be the first step towards becoming the record-breaking manager he is today? Great memories from his time at Gainsborough that Neil can’t wait to reminisce on and share. Learn all about the explosive moments and controversial incidents throughout Neil’s career, taking you right back to when they happened, and giving you the full inside story. There will be special guests joining Neil, former players and staff that have shared the good times and bad with him over the years.

Hear about his thoughts on coming up against Fergie, Pep, Jose, and Klopp and who he rates as the best of them all. He might also have one or two things to say about referees he has crossed paths with! A unique evening of chat and entertainment in the company of one of football’s biggest characters, who has spent over 60 years of his life in the game and has a lot to tell.

The day after Warnock wows the audience at The Baths Hall, with all proceeds from the night going to Gainsborough Trinity, it is expected that Neil will take charge of his very last game. The date is in the diary, for what is set to be an entertaining afternoon at the Northolme. Opposition, teams and opportunities to get involved will all be released in the coming months, building up to our fabulous double header celebration.
