It's a change of competition, and a change of scenery for the Holy Blues, when Russ Wilcox's Gainsborough Trinity head to Robin Hood country - to take on Sherwood Colliery in the First Qualifying Round of the world famous knockout competition.

August Bank Holiday Monday football is upon us. Or in other words, game eight of a quite simply hectic August for the Holy Blues. It's the Lincolnshire derby, as league leader's Cleethorpes Town visit the Kal Group Stadium. It's a 3pm kick off & three points separate the two sides. It's all set up to be an engaging encounter!

Back on the road for the fourth and final time in August, Gainsborough Trinity head to Lancashire. Ashton Under Lyne to be specific, and Ashton United’s Hurst Cross. A manic month drawing to a close with two tough games against sides currently above the Blues in the early season table.

Gainsborough Trinity head back on the road this Tuesday, August 25, in the first of two midweek away games, this week. And part of the hectic opening month of the season, it's another first meeting between two sides, as Trinity take on Quorn FC at Farley Way Stadium. The Leicstershire-based side moving laterally in the summer, as Rushall Olympic were shifted the other way.
