Gainsborough Legends vs All Stars

As part of the football club's 150th year anniversary celebrations, Gainsborough Trinity are delighted to welcome a host of former players to take part in an exhibition match on Sunday 7th May 2023. The game, to be played in a friendly spirit, features a number of players to have pulled on the blue of Gainsborough over the last forty years, with a warm welcome extended to other former players and management to come along and enjoy the day, mixing with supporters, friends and families!

The two teams will be managed by Neal Bishop and Steve Housham, Bish being assisted by John Reed and Housh by Glynn Snodin. Both managers are set to once again pull on their boots, and step out on the hallowed turf once more. They will be accompanied by former players, including: Jan Budtz, Stephen Brogan, Gregg Young, Simon Russell, Chris James, Lee Rogers, Richard Taylor, Gary Lee, Dominic Roma, Nathan Stainfield, Mickey Matthews, Shane Clarke, Jonathan D'Laryea, Liam King, Terry Hawkridge, Jimmy Snee, Jamie Yates, Terry Fleming, Steve Circuit, Chris Hall, Nathan Jarman, Ryan Kendall, Grant Morrow, Darryn Stamp, Matty Wilson, Ross Hannah, Jason Maxwell, Craig Nelthorpe, Mark Burrell, Simon Drayton, Cliff Byrne, Jonno Margetts and Tom Nicholson.

Kicking off at 2pm, gates are open from midday, providing a great opportunity for a trip down memory lane! With food and drink available throughout the day, we can also confirm that the 2022/23 First Team End of Seaaon Awards will be presented in Blues Club. The estimated start time for this is scheduled for 5pm.

With monies raised on the day being shared with Dementia UK and the football club, as we look to go one better than this season's excellent on field showing, why not show your support to two great causes!
