Poulter From Iron to Strengthen Blues

Harrison Poulter has today joined the Holy Blues on a three month loan deal from Lincolnshire neighbours Scunthorpe United. The nature of the deal also has a 28 day recall in the agreement, should the loaning club wish to recall the goal scoring midfielder. A goalscorer throughout his scholarship with the Iron, Poulter was nominated for the August 2021 League Football Education goal of the month for one of his strikes in the 2-2 Youth Alliance Cup draw against Rochdale.

Poulter enjoyed a prolific start to the 2021/22 season at the time, scoring eight times in seven appearances, and coming on for his first team debut in the Papa John's Trophy group stage game against Manchester City Under-21s. That following season, his fine run of scoring form continued in that following season too. Scoring 21 goals in 20 matches, he was rewarded with opportunities in the National League. He appeared five times as a substitute in the National League for the Iron.

Poulter went on to spend the last couple of months of the season on loan at Spalding United but still continued playing for the Under-18s, amassing an impressive total of 25 goals last campaign. Poulter was involved for the Iron in the pre-season friendly with Trinity. Winning the penalty for Scunthorpe in the game at the Northolme.

Harrison, subject to the usual league and FA approval, joins the side in time for our season curtain raiser at home to Marine on Saturday.
