In recent weeks, the Trinity front three have been receiving the plaudits. The trio really working well together as a unit, though it's Declan Howe who has been on fire in front of goal with five goals in his last six games, and he'll be determined to keep that scoring run of form going - especially if it means more points on the board to assist the sides ascent of the table!

Six wins in all competitions at home, Whitby will be a tough test for Russ Wilcox's Holy Blues, who recently beat Chelmsford City on home turf to set up an Emirates FA Cup First Round clash with Bristol Rovers next weekend! Of their five wins in the league, two have come at the Turnbull Ground, a 2-0 win over Atherton Collieries on opening day, and a 4-2 win against Marske at the back end of September. Most recently they drew one all with Bradford Park Avenue on Monday night.

Sitting in 13th, this could well be something of a false position. Whitby having only played ten league games ahead of our encounter, but victory for Wilcox's side, would see us leapfrog Saturday's opponents.

Goal threats for Saturday's hosts come in the form of ex Rotherham United forward Jacob Gratton (who has eight in all competitions) and Junior Mondial with seven, he re-joined Whitby in the summer having spent time at Darlington, Forest Green & a number of spells on loan at Marske United.

>Trinity Team News

News has broken earlier today, about the extension of Ashley Jackson’s loan. He is set for another month with the Holy Blues, from Vanarama National League North side, Scarborough Athletic. Blues’ boss Russ Wilcox, obviously delighted to extend the deal remarked, “Ash has brought experience, knowledge and quality to the group.”

During his month loan, he has appeared five times in the league, winning two, drawing twice, losing only once in the league, on debut. Ash also scored in the 5-3 win over Matlock Town at the Kal Group Stadium.

Meanwhile, McCauley Snelgrove has had his loan at North Ferriby extended by another month, though like with Scarborough having a 24 hour recall option on their player, we also have that luxury with McCauley. The boss insisting that the best thing for Snelgrove is “getting game time – which benefits all parties.”

Harry Lovick has temporarily left the club, joining Grantham Town on an initial one month loan. Wilcox admitted, “Harry has gone to get game time at Grantham. He has been unlucky as he wasn’t in the team when I arrived, so to go and get game time for a month, again will benefit us all.”
