Whilst this has undoubtedly come as a shock to those reading Andy’s statement, we fully back his decision to stand down as health and family must always remain his number one priority. Thanks to the honesty and integrity of Andy, we have been able to put in place the relevant contingencies for this eventuality. And over the previous weeks, we have been able to make decisions as a Board in preparation for next season.

We are delighted to have Russ at the helm, following what has been an outstanding second half to the season. Signing up eight of the current crop, giving us a strong foundation to build on - and with more still to come - it’s an exciting time on the field.

Off the field, preparations are well under way in terms of next season’s pre-season fixtures. Whilst we cannot currently announce the opposition, we can confirm that a number of EFL sides will be visiting the Kal Group Stadium, as well as visits to some of our local non-league neighbours.

We are excited to announce a new kit partnership in the coming weeks, and look forward to sharing kit designs and sponsors. This will include a brand new, online club shop, filling a gap in the market that Gainsborough Trinity should have, in order to help us become more sustainable.

We encourage people to purchase their Season Tickets early, using the Pay What You Can scheme. This will further enhance Russ’ competitive playing budget for next season. Early Bird Purchases will also entitle you to 50% off the aforementioned pre-season fixtures.

Let’s bring the curtain down on a successful start to 2024, with a bumper crowd on Saturday. There’s no better way to test ourselves - and see how far we have come - than challenging ourselves against the best team in the league. The Champions. So please, back the club, and give the players the send off they deserve this season. And don’t forget to join us afterwards for the Player of the Season Awards, hosted in Club on the Park, starting at 5:30pm.

Finally, can I take this opportunity to thank our Sponsors, Fans and Volunteers for all your efforts, without whom, our Club simply could not continue to function. Look forward to seeing you all, heading into next season.

Up the Blues.
