Trinity's ten points coming from two wins and four draws, United have won three and lost three of their last half dozen, including defeats in two of the last three, against Leek and Hebburn. The return fixture between the sides took place in mid-January, at a very misty, murky Broadhurst Park. Adam Le Fondre popping up to rescue a point for FC United after Will Lancaster had powered home a Lewis Butroid freekick midway through the first half, while Dylan Wharton performed heroics, making a penalty save from the aforementioned Le Fondre.

Twenty four points from seventeen away games, coming from six wins and six draws, FCUM have a minus 4 goal difference and come into this one, off the back of a 5-2 home defeat to Leek Town, seven days ago. FC had trailed early, but turned the game in their favour thanks to Le Fondre and Miles, but went in at the break trailing 3-2 with two goals coming in over nine minutes of first half stoppage time. Campbell and Shenton adding the second of their respective braces, in the second half, to send Leek six points clear of the drop zone.

Trinity didn’t initially have the luxury of a seven day rest, but following the postponement of the Whitby Town fixture on Tuesday night, both teams come into this one fresh. The last time the Blues having played, coming against Workington, where Wilcox’s men played out a one all draw Ahead of the game, Wilcox recalled the fixture earlier in the season and issues a rallying call:

"Saturday's game at home to FC United of Manchester will be another tough game. We played out a 1 all draw at their place back in January with Will Lancaster scoring a superb header, and Dylan Wharton making a crucial penalty save. They are a good team with a good manager. We will have to be at our best to get 3 points. Come down and get behind the players. The season is still alive. Up the Holy Blues!"

Wanting to respond to the Boss' rally cry, ticket prices, available on the gate are Adults £13, Concessions £9 and Under 16s £4.
