His commanding presence at the back, combined with his composure on the ball and leadership qualities, continued to catch the attention of Trinity’s management team, who moved swiftly to secure his signature. Born in Yorkshire, Beeden developed through the youth ranks at professional outfit Rotherham United, before transitioning into senior football, where he quickly adapted to the demands of the men’s game.

At Whitby Town, his consistency and maturity stood out, and he played a key role in their defensive unit throughout the 2023/24 season. That form earned him a move to Lancaster City, where he continued to impress, making over 35 appearances in all competitions and earning praise for his physicality, aerial dominance, and reading of the game.

Gainsborough Trinity manager Russ Wilcox welcomed the new addition, saying: “Harrison is a player we’ve monitored closely since having him in during pre-season last year, and we’re thrilled to have signed him. He’s got all the attributes we want in a centre half — strong, dominant in the air, reads the game well and is a good organiser. At just 22 years of age, he’s already shown great maturity and consistency at this level, playing around 200 games to date. We as staff all enjoy working on the development of players, and we look forward to working closely with Harrison to help develop his game further."

Three goals in 44 for Lancaster City, last time out, including goals in tight wins over Trinity and Blyth, as well as the opening goal in the demolition of Basford he was part of the defensive unit at the Giant Axe that conceded 63 (joint 13th) but were incredibly difficult to beat, the Dolly Blues drawing fifteen times during the season.

In 2023/24, Harrison made 47 appearances for the Seasiders, helping them to the First Round of the FA Cup, where they lost to Bristol Rovers. Before that, in 2022/23, he played 13 games for Brighouse. Scoring in the 5-3 win over Grimsby Borough.

Now looking ahead, as he joins the Holy Blues, Beeden expressed his excitement at the move, commenting: "I’m very happy to be here and I’m grateful for the opportunity. I’ve enjoyed the games I’ve played against the club and I am looking forward to meeting the lads and the fans. I hope I can help the club build on the success of last season."
