It's great to see so many of our supporters interacting (239 this month) and selecting their Player of the Month, facilitated by the generosity of Vice Chairman, Jed Hallam through his company Paddockwood Forge Limited. The top three, as voted for by the Trinity faithful, are listed here:
1st: George Hornshaw - 43% (102 votes)
2nd: Jack Leckie - 24% (58 votes)
3rd: David Robson - 5% (12 votes)
We have received over
a thousand votes so far across the season, with more nearly another 250 supporters casting their votes - and having a say in January's award. George has been an ever present in the midfield engine room, since replacing injured skipper Bobby Johnson, in the first half of our Boxing Day defeat to Guiseley.
Following that, as a regular starter, the Blues had a fine first month of 2026, winning twice and drawing against high-flying Hednesford. He continued his form into February with an assist for Ashton Offler away at Ashton United on Tuesday night, and putting in another solid showing at Leek Town on Saturday, as the Holy Blues slipped to a narrow defeat.
George is pictured at Leek, receiving his January Paddockwood Forge Limited, Player of the Month trophy.
Previous winners of the monthly award include:
August, Harrison Beeden
September, David Robson
October, Sisa Tuntulwana
November, Frank Mulhern
December, Frank Mulhern
January, George Hornshaw
Who will be catching your eye during this manic month of February. Will it be the workmanlike Hornshaw once again, the goals of Jonny Margetts, or another of the leading lights for the Holy Blues? Keep an eye out on Social Media at the end of the month, for how to make your opinion count! Blue Army!
