Wilcox made the most of the afternoon, to take in the Morpeth/ Hyde game at Craik Park & saw the hosts run out 1-0 victors over Tuesday’s opposition. That result drew Morpeth level on 33 points with Hyde United, who slipped closer to the drop zone, with Workington also winning & moving onto the same number of points. There is little room for error, whether chasing titles, looking to secure a play-off spot, or looking to avoid the drop – making for a massive game on Tuesday!

Hyde, now managed by Michael Clegg (their third appointment of the season) following in the footsteps of Nick Spooner & Martin Coyne, have perhaps the biggest shock of the season, with a 5-0 home victory over Hednesford Town in their locker, but have lost two of their last three, since then. Drawing 2-2 against Prescot Cables in the other game.

Trinity have been in good form since the turn of the year. And are unbeaten at home since the end of November, the Holy Blues will be looking to extend that on Tuesday night. That run including four clean sheets in seven games, picking up thirteen points on home turf. At just under two points a game.

Sitting a point outside the play-off places, with a game in hand on Stockton (sat immediately above the Blues) and three games in hand on Warrington Rylands (who sit six points ahead) with Rylands still to play, in the final run in – Trinity’s destiny is still firmly in their own hands.

It’s important that we join forces. And turn out in our numbers, to help Russ and the lads over the line. With nine games to play & five of those coming at home. We need the Northolme to become a cauldron of noise. A solid fortress, where teams fear coming. Let’s really get behind the side that has once again given us some fantastic memories this season & go one further – to create something extraordinary.
