Doncaster Rovers are Trinity boss Russ Wilcox’s hometown club, whom he captained during the mid-nineties. And they will be playing their second game of the day, having also played at Enterprise National League newcomers, Harrogate Town (midday kick off) and it is hoped with the later kick off time, a good number of Rovers supporters will make the trip back down the A1 after the game to make it a Saturday double header.
Rovers have just returned from their mini pre-season tour of Ireland, where they played three games, scoring eleven goals. A 4-2 victory over St Patricks, was followed by a comprehensive 5-0 win over Glenavon, rounded off with a 2-0 win against Linfield – Saturday represents a first opportunity for the Rovers faithful to see their newly promoted side, on relatively home turf!
Ticket prices, like all pre-season games, are set at £10 adults, £5 concessions and £2 U16s – so it’s certainly a good value proposition, both for Rovers’ fans looking to make it two ga
mes in a day – and the Trinity faithful, looking to catch their team in action.
With the Club Shop open, full of lots of exciting lines… And also stocking the new 2026/27 shirts – if you were looking for an excuse to get along to the game – then this is it! Pick up your new threads – catch up with your friends, old and new - what are you waiting for?
Matchday Programme: The pre-season programme (triple header) remains on sale for this game. Priced at £3, available at the turnstiles. If you haven’t read Matt’s news from the Board Room – or found out about who Callum Hawkin’s best manager was during his career so far, then pick up a copy!
Also included in the programme are some details about how you can Sponsor the Pitch, with the first draft of names of people that have signed up already. This will be updated each Edition of the programme throughout the season. Can we sell every square?
Final Pre Season Details:
Following Saturday’s game, we travel to Stocksbridge Park Steels on Tuesday night, before wrapping up our preparations at home to Bradford Park Avenue on Saturday 1st August. Kick off for this one has been brought forward a couple of hours, and will now kick off at 1pm. This has also been confirmed on our social media outlets, but please communicate with friends that might not necessarily check socials.
The start to the new season is fast approaching – are you ready?
