Neil Reynolds' men have scored 17 at Gorsey Lane. Conceding nine times, whilst Russ Wilcox's Holy Blues have also conceded nine, but scored 18 on the road. Making this one an incredibly tough one to call! Even going down to the form from the last six league games, it is too tight to call. Both teams having picked up 13 points from the last 18 available! Last season, Rylands made it through to the Play-Off Final. Only to lose on penalties to Hednesford Town, at Keys Park Stadium. The finest of fine margins..
So let's take a look at the Head to Head record, since the sides first faced off, four years ago. Trinity lead, four wins to one, with the other three, ending in stalemate. And Trinity lead 16-8 on goals scored. Read into that what you will - come 3pm on Saturday, two top sides will be battling it out, to end the afternoon in the play-off pack.
Wilcox's men will be hoping for a repeat of the result the last time they visited Warrington, a fortnight ago. That afternoon, amidst Storm Boelo, Trinity emerged 2-1 victors, thanks to goals from Harrison Beeden & Ronnie Kokkinos. Hopefully a similar result, but in infinietely better conditions, can be arranged with the footballing Gods.
The Holy Blues' form in October led to the shortlisting of boss, Russ Wilcox for the Pitching In Northern Premier League Manager of the Month, with the results, from
the league, expected in the next 24 hours or so. Will our Wilcox achieve league wide recognition for his side's achievements, as he looks to keep the side amongst the promotion chasers?
