Trinity Pre-Season Fixture Programme

Our preparations for the upcoming 2021/22 PitchingIn Northern Premier League campaign are well underway, as we can reveal the dates for our eight pre-season friendlies and the opposition for these warm up dates. Head Coach, Tom Shaw has put together a varied pre-season schedule to prepare his side for the rigours of the Northern Premier League season, starting with a double header of matches away from home at step 5 sides.

The first sees a visit to Grimsby Borough's Bradley Development Centre in what will predominantly be a trialist match, before a trip to Birkdale Park, Scunthorpe to take on Bottesford Town. The games against these two Northern Counties East League Premier Division sides will provide a good initial test for Tom Shaw's newly assembled squad, as he continues to put his finishing touches to his playing staff.

Another away game, the following week, sees the Holy Blues travel south to take on Yaxley. Yaxley, from a step higher than the two opening fixtures, at step 4, provide a new ground for Trinity to visit. Members of the newly formed Northern Premier League Midlands Division, Yaxley boast a first class playing surface and promises to be a great day out, coronavirus restrictions permitting.

We welcome Lincoln City to the Martin & Co Arena, for Tom Shaw's first home game in charge, as we entertain the Championship chasing Imps in the Lincolnshire County Cup. A tie switched from Sincil Bank at the agreement of both clubs. Two home games are scheduled for Saturday 24th July and Tuesday 3rd August, with details of these games to follow in due course. But get the dates pencilled into your diary now!

July 31st sees us travel to Sandy Lane to take on Worksop Town of the Northern Premier League East (step 4) before we close our preparations with a trip to Stamford (also of step 4) to take on the Daniels, a week before the big kick off. Should we progress in the Lincolnshire County Cup, we may have additional fixtures to slot in, but for now, that concludes our planning for the 2021/22 pre-season campaign.
