Five goals in two games a particular highlight of September, as well as how he ran the line away at Whitby in the 6-0 away win. He might not have scored that night, but gave a masterclass in how to hold the ball up and link play. Voting for our player of the month takes place on social media across the final couple of days of the month, with the award generally made before the next home game.

Matt Yates won the first Player of the Month Award (for August) and was presented with his magnum of champagne by Director and MKS Groundcare's Martyn Snell, whereas this months magnum was presented by special guests Robin Tinker and his son Jack, who celebrates his 14th birthday on Monday.

A full breakdown of the voting is shown below:

Clayton Donaldson 42%
Liam Waldock 28%
Curtis Durose 17%
Jack Dyche 13%

Congratulations to everyone nominated, and those that weren’t. Each and every player involved played a valuable part in a month where the Holy Blues played half a dozen times, won four games and drew twice. Conceding only five times, whilst scoring nineteen times. If only every month could be like the September we enjoyed together! We now go forwards, together, stronger.
