Javelle Clarke to Light Up DN21

Gainsborough Trinity are thrilled to announce the capture of attacking threat, Javelle Clarke from Brighouse Town AFC for an undisclosed fee. The 21 year old forward, who appeared 38 times for the Town, making over twenty starts for the Northern Premier League East Division side. He helped his side finish the campaign in eighth position, and is now really looking forward to making the step up with Neal Bishop’s Holy Blues..

“I am delighted to have signed for the club and looking forward to working with Bish and my new teammates for the season ahead. I am relishing the opportunity to play a level higher and showcase what I can do to the Gainsborough fans by bringing goals, assists and excitement to them.”

Javelle added, “Hopefully I can help the team push again for promotion this season in a competitive league. I am looking forward to working hard to achieve this with the coaching staff and players. I cannot wait to get started and begin the hard work for a good season.”

Blues’ boss, Neal Bishop has been tracking the attackers’ progress for some time now, as he explains, “Javelle is someone we have had on the radar since last season, we have kept tabs on him, and monitored him - and thanks to the Board we have managed to get a deal over the line this summer. He’s exciting, he’s pacey, he’ll add goals and assists, and we believe he is someone we can work with and help become even better. I am sure he will excite the fans in the way he plays and I am delighted to get him on board this early in pre-season.”

A former Sheffield United Academy player, Javelle is a dynamic and positive forward who relishes one on one situations, and also offers a real threat in behind due to his pace and power. Despite, his young age, Javelle has a real maturity to his game. With the potential to develop further as a player, the new man looks an exciting addition to the side ahead of the Pitching In Northern Premier League 2023/24 season.
