Having previously extended his initial month's loan on the 27th October, all parties were determined to make Jacko's stay permanent, and with the versatile defender enjoying his football again at the Northolme, Jackson enthused, "I am really enjoying my football since I've been at Gainsborough! The group of lads and staff are great and have welcomed me, making it an easy transition."

"There's a lot of potential in the squad and I've been impressed with the standard both in games and in training. It's just about making that form consistent now, which is what we've been able to achieve in the last couple of weeks."

Ash was able to see similarities between the Blues, and Scarborough, who he helped to promotion a couple of seasons ago, helping the Seadogs beat Warrington Town in the end of season play offs at Flamingo Land Stadium, "The season Scarborough got promoted we were in a similar position, at a similar time in the year, so I think with a good run of results we can definitely climb the table and you never know what can happen. I know we have the quality to do so!"

Since joining, Jackson has been impressed with the man at the helm, "Russ has been great with me, nothing but support and advice, which has helped put a smile back on my face and that's when I play my best football. We both know the role I can play in the squad and hopefully it adds that bit extra that keeps this team moving in the right direction."

The Team, Management and now the fans, it's fair to say, Gainsborough Trinity is the perfect package for Ash, "I'd like to thank the supporters for giving me such a warm welcome and their support is what gets the players going. I look forward to meeting more of them in the coming months."

The Boss was extremely pleased to ensure Ash remains in the Blue of Gainsborough Trinity, until at least the end of the season, as Wilcox outlined the importance of the 29 year old former Scarborough, Boston United, Ossett Albion defender: "I’m delighted that Ash Jackson has signed permanently from Scarborough Athletic. He’s been excellent since he arrived on loan. Great versatility and experience. He leads by example with his attitude and commitment. He’s the type of player and person we want at our club. It's great to have you on board Ash, here's to a successful end to the season!"

Russ continued, as he paid tribute to the Board for the part they played in securing Jackson's services until the end of the season, "I just want to place on record my thanks to the Board for their backing, and trust in me to keep Ash as part of the group."
