Johnson joined Trinity in the Summer of 2023/24 from Russ' former side, Farsley Celtic. Prior to that, he enjoyed a productive time at Alfreton, also in the National League North. The 29 year old midfielder has played 38 games to date for Trinity, finding the next in the 4-0 win over Guiseley and the 2-2 draw with Ashton United, both coming at the Kal Group Stadium. And Bobby had this to say, after getting things done quickly:

"I'm very pleased to sign on again for next season. I’ve really enjoyed my time at the club so far, we’ve got a good group. We’ve shown what we’re about, particularly the second half of this season. Excited to kick on again next year."

Bobby's best spell of form has come since his return to the side, in mid-February, and it's no coincidence that has coincided with the Blues' upturn in fortunes.

Following the signing of Bobby Johnson, for the upcoming season, Manager Russ Wilcox had this to say:

"Bobby is another player I had last season at Farsley. He has a great attitude and application to the job in hand. An excellent technical player who brings good energy to the group. Vast experience at Alfreton and Farsley in the league above, so I’m delighted he has committed again for next season."

One town, one team, one Trinity.
