A big part of the matchday experience. Since Fergal the Shark escaped from his home in the offices on Club on the Park, making a brazen escape bid, and swimming off down the River Aegir, we have been missing a Gainsborough Trinity mascot. And the Board of Directors have worked hard to find a suitable replacement... Claire Booth, a Director starting her second year on the Board spoke of the importance of engaging with the youngsters within the Trinity Family:

"A mascot really adds to the whole family atmosphere at the ground. They really help to bring supporters, young and old players and officials, closer together. There's nothing better than a friendly face mingling with supporters, whipping up an atmosphere before the game, whether that be dancing around, mimicking warm ups, or simply posing for a photo or two with our youngsters. Hopefully our Mascot when he/she has a name, they will be off into schools and attending fetes, fayres and festivals and spreading the word of Gainsborough Trinity near and far!"

But here's where things get interesting! We need your help... Our Dolphin friend doesn't have a name yet! We want to hear from your little ones. Ask them to come up with creative, fun, or meaningful names for our new mascot. The winning name will not only become a permanent part of our team, but the lucky child who suggests it, will receive a child's 2024-2025 Season Ticket!
