Just two defeats in twelve, and now looking to record back to back wins, and extend the impressive run of form that has seen Trinity win six of the last seven games, a home win on Saturday would see Trinity move within a point of Workington, with three games in hand. Workington are currently seventh in the six game form guide. Three wins and three defeats see The Reds as quite inconsistent. Victories over Ilkeston Town, Worksop and Bamber Bridge on one hand, have been tempered with defeats away against Hyde United and Stockton Town. Trinity will once again need to be at their best to pick up all three points and continue the ascent of the league table.
The Reds’ top scorer last time out Dave Symington has four to his name in this campaign so far. All goals coming in the first six weeks of the season. Currently Steven Rigg leads their scoring chart with ten. Now managed by former Lancaster City boss Mark Fell, Workington will provide Russ Wilcox’s men with a very good test, but one which the Trinity boss will be hoping the home faithful can help overcome.
Last season, the Holy Blues completed the double over the side from the Lake District. The away game seeing Trinity win for the first time on the road, thanks to a Declan Howe double, and a goal from Javelle Clarke. In the fixture at the Kal Group, Trinity emerged 4-2 victors, another Howe double was supplemented with goals from Fraser Preston and a rare Bailey Conway goal.

With second to sixth in the table separated by three points and three sides locked on 28, the play-off spots are incredibly tight.
