Russ Wilcox's men will be looking to record another victory over the Derbyshire based outfit on Tuesday night, and the boys will be wanting your support to roar them on. With eight away wins, Trinity have been in good form on the road, and will be hopeful of a maximum against Gareth Holmes' side. Holmes took over after long serving boss, John McGrath left to take up post at Buxton in the National League North. With just the two games including our own on Tuesday night, a win for the Holy Blues would see Russ Wilcox's men leap three places to seventeenth ahead of the weekend's long trip to Lancaster City.

It doesn't seem two minutes ago that the Blues were involved in a relentless Saturday Tuesday fixture schedule, and now, as the boss says, resulting from our own successes, we enter another period of Saturday Tuesday football for the foreseeable. Hot on the heels of away games against Sports and the Dolly Blues, Trinity are back at home on the 17th December, for the final time before Christmas, when Hyde United are the visitors.

Can Wilcox's men continue their impressive form and piece together a victorious run, to send the side into Christmas sky high on confidence? After Saturday's impressive victory over Rushall Olympic, with the scoreline not telling the whole tale, with Gainsborough seeing one cleared off the line, one hit the post, and two marginal offside calls preventing the gloss from being applied.

Coming into this one, Mickleover, last season's Southern Premier Division Central, Play-Off Semi-Finalists, have made an up and down return. An impressive victory over Macclesfield, a fortnight ago, the Silkmen's first defeat of the league campaign, has been tempered by the fact it was their only win in eight prior to a Derbyshire cup win, last Tuesday. Trinity are just three points below Mickleover, with a superior goal difference. And an incredible seven games in hand already. The cup(s) form really seeming to skew the league table somewhat.

Former Blues, Cieron Keane and Justin Iwobi have featured on the scoresheet for Sports this season with the goals getting shared around. Dylan Edwards currently leads their scoring charts, but Andy Dales and Stuart Beavon to experienced campaigners have eight between them. This one certainly looks to have all the makings of an interesting game.

Can the Blues take all three points back to Lincolnshire? With players champing at the bit for a piece of the action... will Russ Wilcox tinker with a winning line up? The Holy Blues have assembled a squad with some serious strength in depth and with the games flying thick and fast, every member of the squad is going to be required. Mickleover play on 4G surface, so the excessive rain in recent days, shouldn't pose problems for the artificial surface. Although we have been advised that parking may be sparse at the ground. With a lot of parking provided on 'soft' surfaces, this may not be available on Tuesday evening. Let's go folks! Onwards, forwards, loud and proud. Blue Army!
