Parkin, born in Barnsley is one of the co-hosts of the popular Under the Cosh Podcast. Always a handful, the six foot, four inch striker, hit nearly two hundred goals in approaching six hundred appearances. Prolific spells at Macclesfield, York, Preston North End, Forest Green Rovers and Fleetwood Town. From Premier League to Non League, Jon Parkin will light up the room with tales from his time at Stoke City with Tony Pulis.

Alongside Parkin will be another former professional: Nottingham Forest goalkeeper, Mark Crossley. Born in Barnsley, Crossley spent eleven years at the City Ground, making over 300 appearances for Forest. He also picked up eight caps for Wales, after being capped three times for England U21s, back in 1990. During his time at Nottingham Forest, Crossley became the only goalkeeper to save a former Trinity Speaker’s penalty, that being Matt Le Tissier! After retiring from playing, Crossley moved into coaching and has had a couple of spells in the managerial hotseat, at Notts County and Chesterfield.

Having played under the late Brian Clough, and alongside Stuart Peace, there are sure to be more great stories that will be tapped into as Crossley and Parkin look set to entertain the Gainsborough public!

Accompanying the two former players, with plenty of stories to share, we also present, comedian Sam Harland. After surviving two rehabs, several detention centres and a childhood on the streets of Hull, Sam draws on a wealth of experience to bring you a humorously cynical, yet optimistic slant on life. Sharp witted, and charismatic, Sam is a stand up with nearly ten years’ experience on the circuit, and is set to compliment the Double Act, with fun humour and energy!
