This game was originally scheduled for November but was postponed due to a blanket of snow on the Northolme playing surface failing to thaw. And just after both Trinity and Rylands had pulled off Isuzu FA Trophy shocks: the Holy Blues at home to Chester, thanks to Declan Howe's late winner, while Warrington were beating Scunthorpe 16 miles down the road, George Waring and Matt Regan scoring the goals for Tuesday's visitors, after Kian Scales had opened the scoring for the Iron.
Rylands, managed by former FC United of Manchester and Bamber Bridge boss, Neil Reynolds currently sit atop of the six, eight and ten game form tables, having strung together an impressive unbeaten run. Most recently they have won five games on the bounce and haven't tasted defeat in twelve games in the league, their last loss coming at the hands of Ilkeston, back in November. The impressive run of form has seen Rylands climb to seventh, six points outside the play-off places. Russ Wilcox's men will be looking to string together an equally impressive run of form, to propel the Holy Blues up the table. Four one all draws for the Holy Blues since the turn of the year seeing Trinity being harder to beat, though the three point hauls proving more elusive.
Can Trinity re
produce some of the cup atmospheres that have given the Blues some remarkable moments in the first half of the season? And make the most of the upcoming home advantage, to start picking up the wins, that will make the point at Hyde on Saturday, an excellent one. If Russ Wilcox's men can start to turn some of the recent draws into victories, the fine margins could see Gainsborough climbing the table. With the joint sixth best defensive record in the division, a couple of blips aside, (Macclesfield and Worksop) the Blues would be right up there with the best defences in the division, and with that comes the ability to secure points.

Bamber Bridge will be hoping to extend their winning streak. Their result last time out against Basford United crucial in their fight to beat the drop. Hyde host Ilkeston. The Robins, who have opened up an eleven point gap on the Tigers, will be looking to grow the gap and chase down the final play-off spot. And in the other game on Tuesday night, Prescot travel to Lancaster's Giant Axe, fresh from their win over high-flying Guiseley.
