Hallam began his career in the Sheffield United youth system, before a permanent move to Scunthorpe United, then in League One, where he first became known to Wilcox. As the boss reveals, "Jordi is a player I know well from my Scunthorpe days. He will add further quality and competition to the group. It’s important to strengthen with eight games coming up in March. We are a very small squad at the moment, as Saturday showed, with only four on the bench. It’s great to have Jordi on board. And a warm welcome to Gainsborough Jordi."

During his time with the Blades, the now 26 year old attacking midfielder had loan spells with Southport, Chesterfield and Norwegian side Viking before joining Scunthorpe. Whilst with the Iron, he overcame a long term injury before having a short spell with Ilkeston Town (on loan). Joining Basford in 2023/24, Hallam has made over 50 appearances for the Nottingham based Ambers, but jumped at the opportunity to link up with his former coach, insisting:

"I’ve known Russ for a while now and worked with him previously at Scunthorpe. With that in mind and the success the club has had this year I jumped at the opportunity to sign for the club. I’m delighted to be here and can’t wait to get started!"

It's great to have you with us, Jordan! Let's see what you're all about in Gainsborough Trinity colours! Subject to the usual League and FA ratification, Jordan will be available for Saturday's trip to Warrington Rylands. Blue Army!
