Despite the punishing run of games, Russ Wilcox’s men find themselves on a six match unbeaten run, a run stretching back to the Woking cup exit, the perfect way to bounce back from cup heartbreak. "Each and every game in this league is difficult, so to go six games unbeaten is hard to do. In those six games we have scored ten and conceded just four. The players and staff have all been outstanding so far this season, and I appreciate all they are doing for our football club. This will be our 46th game of the season, and after today’s game we have our two longest away trips of the season back to back!"

Speaking ahead of the game, Trinity Manager, Russ Wilcox extended a warm welcome to all those travelling to Gainsborough, "A very warm welcome to everyone attending our Pitching In Northern Premier League match against Bamber Bridge FC on Saturday, in particular the directors, management team, players and supporters from Bamber Bridge who will have all made the long trip from Lancashire. We hope you enjoy your afternoon here with us in Lincolnshire – and wish you a safe return journey."

Of course this is actually their second trip over to us this season, the referee having called off the original fixture back in November when they were only a few minutes drive away. The boss also reflected on the midweek point, earned against sixth placed Ilkeston, where he admitted:

"I thought our midweek game against Ilkeston Town FC was a really hard fought 0-0 draw. Both teams defended really well, and chances to score were limited at both ends. Dylan Cogill had an opportunity to score with a header from a corner that unfortunately just flashed wide, but the closest we came to scoring was from a Declan Howe left foot volley, with his opportunity supplied by a clever Bobby Johnson pass. Unfortunately Dec’s thundering volley came crashing back off the woodwork and we were unable to convert the rebound."

Wilcox also updated supporters on the injury front, "Dayle Southwell had his operation on Thursday (6th of March). Hopefully, if things go to plan he could be back playing in four to six weeks. Hopefully Sisa Tuntulwana will be fit for Saturday, or for the two away games next week."

Trinity's Dylan Wharton recorded his ninth clean sheet of the season in midweek, following on from Dec Howe grabbing his 30th goal of a profitable campaign. And that's just some of the positive statistics that will continue flowing out of the Trinity camp!

Bamber Bridge, managed by Jamie Milligan are currently seventeenth in the table, two places and two points ahead of Matlock in the final relegation spot. Both teams having played 33 games. Brig recently resigned striker, Ewan Bange on loan from Radcliffe and he has helped his new side to four points from the last six available. A 2-2 draw away at Morpeth, was followed up by a 5-1 thrashing of Blyth at Iron Gate. Averaging just over a point per game away from home, Saturday's visitors, their last win came against Mickleover on Feb 1st. Scoring 22 goals in 16 games, Brig have conceded 29 goals in that time. Four wins, five draws and eight defeats make predicting the Bamber Bridge side that the Holy Blues will come up against, difficult...

Russ’ final message ahead of the game against Bamber Bridge: "Please give us your full backing again, let’s try to add three points to our league tally and push up the league as far as we can. We still have a lot of league points to play for!"
