The teenage centre forward goes straight into contention for Russ Wilcox's a place in Russ Wilcox's side, as the Holy Blues prepare to embark on a busy September. Wilcox bolstering his squad that are unbeaten in four games, winning three and drawing one of those last four matches.

The addition of Vanderpuye is one that will excite the Trinity faithful, who will love his raw pace and power, bringing something different to the Holy Blues’ front line. "I’m delighted to welcome Daniel Vanderpuye to our football club. A big thank you to Lincoln City. Still only 17 years old he shows excellent promise. He played against us in pre-season and performed well. He’s 6,4 and can play all across the front line. Please give him your full backing as he starts building his match day experience."

Former Trinity loan starlet, Jovon Makama, finished the season as Joint Top Goal Scorer, with Brad Grayson back in 2021/22, scoring thirteen goals, eventually breaking into the first team, at Lincoln City. Earlier this summer, he earned himself a £1.6m move to Championship side, Norwich City, whereas fellow Youth Team forward, Freddie Draper went well last season, scoring a hatful for Sky Bet League.2 Walsall.

Both still only 21 years of age, these players took their first steps into Senior football with the Holy Blues, under Tom Shaw. And, current boss, Russ Wilcox will be hopeful that the latest attacking talent to come off the Lincoln City conveyor belt can forge just as successful a career as those who have trodden the same path.

We welcome Daniel to the club – and hope he enjoys his time in Gainsborough colours. Expect to see him in the squad for tomorrow afternoon’s game against Warrington Town at the Kal Group Stadium. Kick off at 3pm. As Trinity embark on a hectic September that has at least six games lined up.

Due to Internationals taking centre stage, and meaning no Premier League or Championship football to distract you – why not head along to the Northolme, and take a look at what Russ and the team are growing? We would love to have you with us! Adults £13, Concessions £9 and Under 16s £4. Cash or card, payable on the gate. And Gainsborough Trinity Season Tickets are valid for this fixture.
