The six foot five inch striker, is a handful for opposition defences, with his direct, uncompromising approach. And with Frank Mulhern currently sidelined, boss Russ Wilcox has moved to bolster his attacking options, with the addition of the young Millers' front man. Eight goals in a productive three month loan spell at Sheffield FC last season, in a struggling side, was an excellent return. Before he finished the season at Emley, as they chased for promotion.

He started this campaign on loan at Cleethorpes Town prior to his second month recently coming to an end. He started the game against Gainsborough, on August Bank Holiday Monday & was a willing outlet for the Owls. Josh's physical presence provides boss Russ Wilcox with a different option up top, having toyed with both Javelle Clarke & Sisa Tuntulwana in advanced positions in recent weeks - both players having some joy - but both preferring to link up with a more advanced focal point.

Utilising his extensive contacts in the professional game, Trinity boss Russ Wilcox was delighted to boost his squad with the addition of this highly sought after youngster, admitting: "I’ve monitored Josh for a while now. He first caught my eye when I watched Hamish Douglas and Joel Holvey play for Rotherham’s U21s. He’s developed well since then and gained experience in non league which will help him settle in quickly with us."

"He gives us a different option and will help us in both boxes. Hopefully scoring and providing goals and assists for his new teammates! Welcome on board Josh."

Ahead of linking up with his new colleagues, in the build up to Saturday's Isuzu FA Trophy Third Qualifying Round tie against Shifnal Town, the attacker had this to say, to the Gainsborough Trinity website: "I am ready to get going and work hard for the club. I can't wait for our home game on Saturday- and to meet the fans."

Josh is available for this season's FA Trophy campaign, and goes straight into Russ Wilcox's squad, for Saturday's game at home to Shifnal Town. Meanwhile, Dan Vanderpuye returns to Lincoln City to get game time and to play in the FA Youth Cup. We will continue to follow his progress. And the door remains open for him to return to the fold in the future.
