Alongside Bamber Bridge, Trinity have played the fewest number of home league games so far this season (seven). So now is a great time to re-establish the Kal Group Stadium as something of a fortress for home league games. Starting on Tuesday, as we begin back to back home fixtures. And six out of the next nine games, to be played by January 1st will be played on home turf. Almost a third of the season's home games in little over a month.

Hebburn's form away from home has been steady, if not spectacular. Ten points from eight games away from home, as opposed to eighteen from nine on home turf. That home form sees them hit the magical two points a game often set as the benchmark for promotion. In fact, discounting the opening three games of the season, the Hornets have in fact, quietly been going about their business, just under the radar. Until recently.

Twenty goals in the last five league games, including four wins and four clean sheets, have Hebburn bang in form & scoring goals for fun. An 8-0 win against Warrington Town, followed up with a 5-0 drubbing of Ilkeston in their following home game, has certainly had sides sitting up and taking note. And the threat Daniel Moore's Hebburn will provide, won't be lost on the Holy Blues.

Trinity sit five places below Tuesday night's opponents, four points behind, with three games in hand. With the game being against the side in the final play-off spot, victory for Russ Wilcox's men really acts as a six pointer, as it can propel the Blues to within a point of the play-offs, with three games still in hand. Wilcox's Holy Blues are starting to click into gear. The cogs beginning to turn. The first half showing saw Trinity creating plenty of chances. That has been something of a theme this season. It has just been the final act of putting the ball in the back of the net. If the mighty Blues can just find that clinical, killer instinct in front of goal, recent draws could be turned into wins. It's all about fine margins.

But that focus on the league is now burning brightly in the eyes of Russ Wilcox's charges. And the time to climb the table starts on Tuesday. It won't be easy, but with a noisy home support, backing the Blues, in the first of successive home games, Trinity can really look to send out a message to the rest of the league - that Gainsborough Trinity really mean business!

Aaron Simpson is available on Tuesday, before serving a one game suspension on Saturday against Hyde, whilst Jonny Margetts will be pressing for a start after his late leveller at the weekend. Boss Russ Wilcox will certainly have a few decisions to make, as he weighs up the after affects of a bruising encounter on Merseyside, at the weekend.
