The Blues have strengthened since the Cleethorpes game, with Russ Wilcox busy scouring the market for the right players to improve his side. Bringing in defensive recruits in the form of Ashton Offler & most recently, Jack Leckie. Offler arriving permanently from Mickleover FC, while Leckie arrived on the eve of what should have been the Ashton United game, from National League North outfit, Alfreton Town. Both players are available to make their Gainsborough debuts, if selected, against Morpeth. Thus strengthening the back line.

Morpeth Town arrive in Lincolnshire having had a difficult season, on the road, to date. Five points collected, with eleven goals scored in a dozen games, conceding 23 times in the process. Three of those goals conceded came against Ilkeston on Saturday just gone. Morpeth going down 3-1 at the Microlise New Manor Ground, despite taking a first half lead. That followed off the back of Morpeth's 2-0 defeat to Stockton on NYD. It's clear to see the side from the North East have really enjoyed their home comforts, picking up six wins on their own patch this term.

Games between the Highwaymen & the Holy Blues are always tight, tricky affairs however - and nothing should be taken for granted. At the start of December. Frank Mulhern left it late to earn a share of the spoils for Russ Wilcox's Holy Blues. At Craik Park, that was the first goal Trinity had scored against Craig Lynch's side in five attempts! Trinity will be hoping to make it a hat-trick of wins against the Peth, with victory on Saturday afternoon. Though the Head to Head doesn't make for favourable reading, for the Gainsborough faithful, who have seen Trinity win twice, draw twice, losing six of the ten meetings between the sides.

Confidence has to be high, as the belief in the camp will be there, that Russ Wilcox’s Holy Blues can pick up the three points needed to keep the side right in amongst it with the promotion chasing pack.
