This proposal would have made him one of the highest-paid players at Gainsborough Trinity. The offer was rejected on multiple occasions throughout last season and again this summer. As part of the player’s existing agreement, the club held a one-year option, which has been activated in accordance with FA regulations. As a result, Sisa Tuntulwana remains under contract with Gainsborough Trinity FC for the 2026/27 season. However, the player, and more specifically his agent, have made it abundantly clear that he wishes to leave the football club.

As a result, the player has been placed on the transfer list. Gainsborough Trinity FC has always operated with honesty and integrity when dealing with player development and transfers. We have never stood in the way of players progressing their careers, and this remains an important part of our recruitment model and philosophy.

As with Will Lancaster last year, we had no intention of selling but once our valuation is met we would never stand in a players way. However, the long-term future and stability of Gainsborough Trinity FC will always remain the club’s priority.

Decisions of this nature will not be dictated by players or their representatives, and the club will continue to act in what it believes are the best interests of GTFC.

Should an offer be received that meets the club’s valuation of the player, it will be considered and dealt with appropriately.

Until that time, Sisa remains under contract with Gainsborough Trinity Football Club and will be expected to report for pre-season training alongside the rest of the squad. We thank our supporters for their continued backing, understanding, and loyalty.
