The former Leamington defender, started out in the Leeds United youth set up, before joining Doncaster Rovers' academy & progressing to make his first team debut against Peterborough United in 2020/21. He spent time on loan at Farsley, before Championship side Swansea City paid a fee & loaned him to Barry Town for a season in the Cymru (Welsh) Premier League.
Yorkshireman, Ben, has also spent time at tomorrow's opponents, Bradford Park Avenue, and Lincol
nshire neighbours, Spalding United and Bourne Town - and he arrives at Trinity, still only 24 years of age, with plenty to offer. Boss, Russ Wilcox said,
"We’ve known Ben from his Doncaster Rovers days. We believe he will bring quality and competition to the group."
"Playing left back and centre back, his skill set will be a great addition to the squad, creating balance as he is a left footed player, giving more options to change shape, if and when required. We look forward to working and developing Ben. Welcome to Gainsborough!"
The versatile defender had this to say, as he committed to the club:
"I’m delighted to be here it’s a great opportunity for me. As soon as I spoke to the manager I know it was somewhere I wanted to be. I can’t wait to get started and have a successful season."
