As a result of that audit, the club has been informed that all of the current perimeter walls and fencing will need to be removed & replaced, We have also been advised by The FA that 100% funding will be available for the required works, including the removal of the existing structures.
This is obviously welcome news for the club and means that the necessary improvements can be undertaken without placing the cost of the works on the club. We are currently un
dertaking a number of site visits with contractors to establish the most appropriate solutions and obtain quotations for the required works. We hope to have these quotations with us within the next couple of weeks.
At this stage, we do not have a clear timeline for when the works will commence or be completed. Our priority is to ensure that the work is carried out as quickly as reasonably possible, but in an appropriate and properly planned manner.
We do not currently envisage the works having any impact on our upcoming fixtures. We appreciate that supporters will naturally have questions about what the changes will mean for the Northolme. Once we have a full and clear timeline for the works, we will provide a further update to supporters.
As a club we remain committed to ensuring the Kal Group Stadium continues to provide a safe, welcoming and compliant environment for our players, supporters, staff and visiting clubs.
Thank you for your continued support
