The Holy Blues will be looking to add to the early season points tally, that has seen them pick up impressive victories over Stockton (in midweek) FC United of Manchester and Workington, registering nine goals in those three games. Leading the way in the scoring charts is converted forward, Ashton Offler. With three goals to his name, the makeshift centre forward is proving a revelation up top for Russ Wilcox’s men.
As is the pace and power of the exciting Theo Williams, signed permanently in the summer following a short loan period at the club, last season. Williams has brought goals and assists to the team this season and is playing with confidence for the Blues.
Two clean sheets in four games, Stockton’s late penalty on Tuesday night, a blot on the defensive record, that shows the side are functioning, strong and resilient and looking to continue riding the crest of the wave as Bury come into town.
The Shakers of Bury head for Lincolnshire following their promotion from the NPL West, with two wins, a draw and a defeat in their opening four games at Step 3. Opening their campaign with a goal-less draw away to fellow league-newbies Redcar Athletic, they beat Curzon Ashton at home 3-2 (Curzon seeing a last minute penalty saved) before beating Warrington Rylands at home by a goal to nil.
In midweek, Bury let a two goal lead slip. Fo
rmer Gainsborough man, Jordan Thewlis netting a stoppage time winner for Guiseley, at Nethermoor, leaving Anthony Johnson’s Shakers with a point from their first two away games of the season, so far. Their striker DJ Pedro saw his recent red card overturned, and his suspension (that was due to start on Saturday) has been lifted.

Two local Council ran car parks (Roseway and Tower Street) are located within a two minute walk of the ground. Please be mindful, there have been several complaints to the authorities recently about parking on pavements around the ground, and we strongly advise this is avoided, to avoid issues with traffic enforcement officers and the police.
