Emley started the season with just two defeats in their first ten games. But five draws stunted the progress of their three victories. Now siting nineteenth in the table, currently occupying the final relegation spot, they are without a win in their last five. Defeats to Bury (4-0) Spennymoor Town (0-4) Bootle (5-0) Workington (1-3) and Warrington Rylands (4-1) it has been a difficult week for the newly promoted side.

Promoted via the play-offs, Emley were certainly the outsiders in a play-off pool that featured Matlock Town, Dunston and Bradford Park Avenue, but wins over Dunston and a penalty shoot out win over BPA helped them step up to the NPL Premier Division.

Emerging from a challenge like that, and having recruited with some Northern Prem experience, they should not, and will not, be underestimated. With Gabriel Johnson and Diego De Girolamo amongst others, the claret and blues will need to be watched carefully.

Managed by Richard Tracey, the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground can be found, Off Upper Lane, Emley, Huddersfield, HD8 9RE.

In midweek, Trinity were busy putting Whitby to the sword. Scoring six times in the process. Fraser Preston, Connor Brown, Javelle Clarke and Harrison Beeden all finding the back of the net for Trinity

Meanwhile, Emley found themselves 0-3 down, at home to fellow strugglers Bamber Bridge – but incredibly survived another heavy defeat, when the fog rolled in, and the pea soup made the game unfinishable. The game ending up abandoned, with it all to do again – for both sides!
