Bowland Brewery Player of the Month

The results are now in, for the Gainsborough Trinity, Bowland’s Brewery, Player of the Month Award for September, in association with the BetVictor Northern Premier League. And the proud winner is Ciaran Brennan. The young on-loan defender from Sheffield Wednesday has clearly caught the eye in his first few performances for the club, earning 98 votes across our Twitter and Facebook voting.

Ciaran made his debut in the FA Cup defeat away at Rushall Olympic at centre back, before shifting to right back in the improved defensive display away at South Shields. Retaining his place at full back, the young Owl impressed again in the home draw against Mickleover Sports, linking up impressively and having a hand in both the goals. Following the presentation prior to the 4-1 home victory over Bamber Bridge, Ciaran put in another strong performance for the Holy Blues and is already a valued member of the team. Congratulations to all the players, who have picked up votes so far in our polls. The fact that so many people are joining in and having a voice is fantastic. Long may that continue!
