With little choice but to work with a reduced budget from last season, the manager has immediately set about shaping a squad that can continue the fine form demonstrated since his arrival that at the point of the season being suspended, which saw the club as a dark horse for the final play-off spot. Woodhouse revealed, "I’ve spoke to all the lads contracted to the football club and unfortunately we are just not in a position to offer some of them terms moving forward. We have Gregg Smith, Declan Bacon, James Williamson and Alex Wiles already contracted for next season and Jack Walters has agreed terms for next season."

Woodhouse continued, "Simon Russell, Kingsley James, Nathan Stainfield, Michael Williams, Jamie Green, Shane Clarke and Ross Hannah all look set to leave the football club for pastures new. All the lads have played huge roles in keeping the football club in the division last year and all have been pretty much ever present in the squad so its going to be sad to see them all leave but if anybody calls me about them, they will all get a glowing reference. Not only as players, but as people too."

"Myself and Fozzy (assistant, Martin Foster) would like to place on record our heartfelt thanks for all the efforts each put in, literally leaving everything out on the pitch in our fight for survival. Alongside them George Willis, Will Thornton, Nicky Walker, Jordan Adebayo-Smith and Ahmed Salem all return to their loan clubs respectively and again all have been brilliant for the club. Hopefully we have also played our part in their development as players."

"I’m working really hard behind the scenes to recruit players which is difficult in such tough times but we aim to give the fans and everybody associated with the football club a team you can be proud of and get behind. Lastly I’d just like to wish everybody health and happiness as we fight this deadly virus and the sooner we can all get back to what we love the better."

As a football club, we place on record our thanks to all those that have given their all to the cause this season and look forward, with excitement to the next chapter. One thing for sure is, it certainly looks like it is going to be another rollercoaster of a ride! Curtis is already well on his way to moulding his new squad with 5-6 new faces expecting to be added in the next fortnight, these incomings will be announced, as always, following league and FA ratification.
