With the temperatures plunging to minus seven on Thursday night, the frost penetrated the ground, and best laid plans were thrown into disarray. The grass on Woody's excellent Northolme carpet had previously protected the ground from the big freeze, but with the frost in the ground, another night of minus 5 and below, followed by minimal temperature rises during the day, those factors, coupled with our visitor's journey and travelling supporters, in consultation with match officials, the decision to postpone the fixture was made.

A new date for the Mariners' visit to the Dave Longstaff Martin and Co Arena will be announced in due course. Last week's scheduled home match with Warrington Rylands has been set for Saturday 11th March 2023, with a 3pm kickoff.

The next scheduled fixture for Neal Bishop's Holy Blues (in grey) is set for Boxing Day, when we travel to Liversedge for a 3pm kickoff.
