The scene is set for what could be a huge game in the direction both sides go into their respective quests. And Non League Day provides the perfect backdrop, where Premier League & Football League supporters are encouraged to drop in, to visit Non League football & check out the offering of their local side. It's International weekend afterall - and that gives opposition supporters the chance to show an interest/ boost club funds... something sides like Gainsborough Trinity can certainly do with!
All except four game weeks, today's opponents have been in the top five of the Pitching In Northern Premier League, with an incredibly consistent season so far, seeing them accrue 57 points from 35 games. Winning fifteen and drawing twelve, they have found the net fifty times in those games, conceding 38.
The Holy Blues still have a game in hand on Rylands (a tantalising two points off), but with the top three having gained a little buffer, it’s the fourth and fifth positions that look to be up for grabs, as the season finale fast approaches. Lancaster City (with Hebburn, Stockton & the Holy Blues still to play) may still fancy a late surge towards extending their season – and nobody should be written off – but Rylands, Trinity & Stockton Town will all be looking to put dibs down on those coveted positions.

, including today, all have to play each other in the run in. A factor that could go a long way to deciding one another’s fates. Hot on the heels of Gainsborough Trinity vs Warrington Rylands, Russ Wilcox’s men head to Stockton on Good Friday, for the first of the Easter weekend double header.
Russ Wilcox and Neil Reynolds are the respective Managers that will be looking to guide their team to victory. Respected figures in the professional & semi professional games, it is likely to be a most watchable spectacle, with plenty at stake.
