Aged only 18, the forward joined Boston United for the first half of this campaign, but found opportunities limited, giving the Blues the chance to pounce. Having already made his first team debut for the Imps, in the EFL Trophy & receiving recognition and commendations by the League Football Education, Adebayo-Smith is a talent who will no doubt be tracked during his time at Trinity.

The Holy Blues and Lincoln City are forging a closer working relationship, that will be mutually beneficial to both clubs, with the Holy Blues able to utilise some of the hottest talent coming off the Imps conveyor belt. With those players benefiting with first team football & Gainsborough boosted by talent from the League One Academy set up, Trinity can look to climb the table with confidence.

Adebayo-Smith is hoped to be the first of a number of similar deals the Holy Blues will be able to secure moving forward, as Curtis Woodhouse ultimately looks to stabilise his playing squad.

"I am delighted to get Jordan in with us. He is a player I watched a few times last year and am sure is going to have a great future in the game. I’m sure he will be a big hit with our fans, it’s fantastic that Lincoln City have trusted us to play a part in his development."

Thanks go to all at Lincoln City for enabling this move to go through and we all join together in welcoming Jordan to the football club. Jordan officially begins his loan spell on Thursday 2nd January 2020 but is expected to see his new side in action this afternoon, at home to Matlock Town in the BetVictor Northern Premier League.
