The goalkeeper will provide Lloyd with fantastic competition and with the two competing, performance levels will be increased. Tracked by goalkeeper coach Charlie Cresswell, Wallis started his career at Sheffield Wednesday where he was a team mate of former Trinity loanee Ben Hughes, progressing through their u23 set up. Just last month he was awarded the Matlock Town Player of the Month award (sponsored by Bowland Brewery) and will be keen to secure the number one shirt in his time with Gainsborough Trinity.

A goalkeeper, with a bright future in the game, Wallis can't wait to get started having watched the side in our recent win over the Gladiators at the Martin & Co Arena. Of the signing, Curtis Woodhouse enthused:

"Dan is a player I know really well from Sheffield Wednesday under 23s. I’ve watched him a lot and he has great distribution, a great shot stopper. He’ll give us some competition in that number one jersey. I’m delighted to get all three of our new signings over the line today and I think our work now, certainly with incomings, will be done."

Welcome to the club Dan!
