Tenacious Midfielder Jake Scott Returns

It's a return to Gainsborough Trinity for Jake Scott, who last donned the Holy Blues' jersey during Dom Roma's spell in charge, as Curtis Woodhouse continues to strengthen his squad ahead of the 2020/21 season. At 27 years of age, Jake has gained a vast amount of experience since leaving the Northolme, captaining Mickleover FC (formerly Sports) for a couple of seasons during an extended stay at the Derbyshire club.

A tenacious, holding midfielder by trade, Jake will add bite to the Trinity engine room and provide the platform on which Curtis will look to build, "I’m delighted to get Jake Scott in with us, a player with energy and bite and will really add to our midfield. Jake has captained Mickleover for the past couple of seasons so again we are adding another leader that leads with his voice but also by example."

Scott adds to the options vying for a midfield starting berth alongside the likes of Alex Wiles, Lewis Collins, Martyn Woolford Luke Lofts and Matty Dixon, proving the boss certainly has options at his disposal. Scott's other former clubs include Barnsley, Shaw Lane, Worksop Town, Bradford Park Avenue and Guiseley AFC.
