However, we are all aware that COVID-19 restrictions have meant funeral arrangements have been curtailed with only limited numbers allowed to attend. We have also been unable to pay our respects at our home games as would usually be the case. To allow everyone associated with Gainsborough Trinity FC to pay their respect to those we have sadly lost, we will be holding a minute’s silence at our opening game of the season at home to Witton Albion on Saturday 14th August.

Whilst we do know of many fans that have sadly passed away, we may not be aware of them all and we would like to ensure everyone is honoured in the same way.

If you know of any Trinity fans that have sadly passed away in the last 18 months, we ask that names are passed to club Secretary Matt Boles, either by This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or 07500 838068 by the 9th August. Please do not assume a person is known to us; we would prefer to be told numerous times than to miss someone.

The names will then be read out over the PA system prior to the minutes silence as we pay our respects as a club. A commemorative graphic including all names will also be available.
