Rio Molyneaux has today completed a move to Gainsborough Trinity having linked up with his new teammates at training on Thursday evening. A 19-year-old winger, blessed with blistering pace, goes into contention for Saturday's match day squad to face Ashton United in the PitchingIn Northern Premier League. A product of the Mansfield Town Academy, the teenager joined Alfreton Town following his departure from The Stags. He impressed Billy Heath during a pre-season trial, impressing enough to secure a deal last season.
Signing on an initial one-month loan deal, Rio has spent a similar period on loan at Trinity’s Northern Premier League rivals Grantham Town, but now comes to the Gainsborough Martin and Co Arena, ready to make an impact.
